Environmental Education

Through the “De Olho na Natureza” project, the Instituto Líbio develops educational initiatives that raise awareness among children, teenagers, and teachers about the importance of biodiversity conservation and the impacts of wildlife trafficking.

Focused on students aged 10 to 14 and teachers from both public and private schools, the project promotes school workshops, interpretive trails in natural reserves, and training sessions for educators, addressing key topics such as climate change, ecological restoration, agroecology, and the vulnerability of Brazilian biomes.

Between 2022 and 2024, the program reached over 3,200 students and 180 teachers, achieving remarkable results — 92% of participants reported a change in perception regarding wildlife trafficking after the activities.

The initiative seeks to foster knowledge, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging, connecting new generations to the protection of the land they inhabit.
