Rescue & Shelter<\/strong><\/p>\n

We rescue wild animals that are victims of trafficking and mistreatment<\/strong>. Those able to return to the wild<\/strong> undergo a careful rehabilitation process<\/strong>, conducted in partnership with specialized institutions<\/strong>, before being gradually reintroduced into their natural habitat<\/strong>. Animals that cannot be released find a safe haven<\/strong> at our Rescue Center<\/strong>, where they receive continuous care<\/strong> and live with dignity and well-being<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDe Olho na Natureza\u201d (Eye on Nature)<\/strong> project by Instituto L\u00edbio<\/strong> brings environmental education<\/strong> to schools<\/strong> and protected areas<\/strong>, raising awareness about biodiversity conservation<\/strong>. Aimed at students and teachers<\/strong>, the initiative offers hands-on learning experiences<\/strong> that combine scientific knowledge<\/strong> with direct contact with nature<\/strong>. The project strengthens critical thinking<\/strong> among new generations and expands understanding of the impacts of wildlife trafficking in Brazil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Instituto L\u00edbio<\/strong> protects around 40,000 hectares of native vegetation<\/strong> across four Brazilian biomes<\/strong>, essential for ecological balance<\/strong>. This preserved territory<\/strong> ensures vital ecosystem services<\/strong> such as climate regulation<\/strong>, water cycle maintenance<\/strong>, and biodiversity conservation<\/strong>. In addition to storing millions of tons of carbon<\/strong>, these protected areas<\/strong> serve as refuges for more than 1,000 species of native wildlife<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
